The Russian Military Historical Society collects donations for the shooting of a feature film about Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya.
In 1941, when the Nazi invaders almost reached Moscow, this 18-year-old girl was partisan. The invaders grabbed her, tortured, but Zoya did not betray any of her comrades, gave out military secrets, did not even give her name. The young hero was hanged by the Germans, but managed to shout to the inhabitants of the village of Petrishchevo, who was exiled to her execution: "I'm not afraid to die, comrades. It's happiness to die for our people. "
The feat of Zoya became widely known in the Soviet Union during the Second World War. With her name, the fighters rose to attack, her name was written on the turrets of tanks and on the fuselages of combat aircraft. They knew about Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and in other countries of the Anti-Hitler Coalition - Great Britain, the United States, France, etc. She became the first woman to be awarded the title “Hero of the Soviet Union” during the war.
The Russian Military Historical society is engaged in preserving the historical memory. On the donations we’ve collected, a monument to the Heroes of the First World War on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow was erected, a monument to the Baptist of Russia Prince Vladimir near the Kremlin, etc.
The shooting of the film about Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya begins in 2018 (as of 15 March, there were collected 75 million rubles), the director is Egor Konchalovsky.
