The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation promulgated copies of documents from the beginning of the Great Patriotic War period. Among them, the first directives of the highest military command of the USSR, orders for military districts, reward sheets and a trophy German map with the "Barbarossa" plan.

“Today's special project is devoted to one of the most terrible pages in the history of our homeland - the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In the declassified archival documents, there is only a small part of the evidence of the unprecedented amount of heroism of the soldiers and commanders of the Red Army, which crashed the Hitler's in tatters "Plan Barbarossa," says the website devoted to the publication of documents.

The Department of Information and Mass Communications together with the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense were searching for documents and digitizing it. Declassified documents pose "a barrier to the growing falsification of history" and debunk "many of its false myths," note the department.
