It was on feelings and emotions that we tried to make an accent in our film, - the director continued. - Every normal person understands what is pain, fear, hunger, love. It is a sensual environment that is not expressed in mathematical formulas.

In the work on the film, took part actors and filmmakers from Russia, Lithuania, France, Germany, Poland took part, and the movie itself was filmed in five languages: Russian, Polish, German, Dutch and Yiddish. Sobibor became the directorial debut of Konstantin Khabensky. In the German rental movie comes out on May 13, the distributor and organizer of the premiere was the company KinoKartina.TV. In Russia, the movie was released on May 3.

Konstantin Khabensky, as well as actors who starred in the film - Philip Reinhard, Dirk Martens and Wolfgang Cerny - were unanimous in the opinion that there can not be any statute of limitations for Nazi crimes. The director said that in life one should proceed from the understanding that every crime will be punished.

- From the point of view of someone who is just going to do such things, it is important, - said Konstantin Khabensky.

As the Russian ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev said, the film is "timely and relevant", especially in the light of attempts to rewrite history. He thanked the director and the whole team that worked on Sobibor, for bringing the film to Berlin on May 9 - on Victory Day.

Premiere screenings of the feature film "Sobibor" with the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Military Historical Society were successfully held on Victory Day and in other parts of the world. About one thousand two hundred people attended the premiere of the film in Belgrade. Earlier on Wednesday, the film was shown in several cities in Serbia, where the action "Immortal Regiment" was held: Nis, Kraljevo and Krusevac.

Film screenings of the film "Sobibor" also took place in India and Thailand. In particular, in New Delhi, the premiere took place at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. According to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo in India Fyodor Rozovsky, the cinema of the Center has never been so full. Among the guests of the event were the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Syria, diplomats from Great Britain, France, USA, China, Turkey, Egypt, other states, as well as numerous representatives of the Indian public.
