The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets has presented to staff of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation the head of department - Vladimir Medinsky. Earlier, according to the Presidential Decree, he was reassigned to the post of Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

"A lot has been done, but today a new benchmark begins, and I want to introduce you Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation," – said Olga Golodets at a ceremony at the Russian Ministry of Culture. In addition to the staff of the department, heads of the subordinated institutions of culture and the Russian Military Historical Society also attended the ceremony.

“Our culture is what promotes our country today. Today, in the sphere of culture, we are steadily occupying leading positions in the world, and this imposes a very special responsibility on all institutions of the sphere, creative collectives, and creative people," - Olga Golodets said. – “I would like to wish each of you creative successes, so that your creative initiatives will turn into new projects, performances, exhibitions, accomplishments."

Vladimir Medinsky expressed his gratitude "for kind words and good wishes", stressing that they "are not only related to the Ministry of Culture, but to the all staff of the industry".
