The action "Children of Pomorie to Children of Syria", organized with the support of the Arkhangelsk regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society, continues.

Young volunteers collect sports equipment and various types of school supplies for Syrian students. On the eve of the Day of Knowledge – September, 1 all things will be sent to the Syrian Republic. Russian schoolchildren take active part in the action and try to provode the maximum support to their peers. Such events play an important role in the spiritual and moral upbringing of the youth: they teach responsiveness, kindness and compassion, and help the young generation realize the terrible consequences of the war.

In the summer of 2017, the contest "Children Draw the World" was held. It gathered more than a thousand of works from all regions of Russia. Young authors of the pictures tried to call on the society for the peaceful resolution of conflicts. The initiator of the project was Arkhangelsk regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society (RMHS), then the participants were joined by participants from the Chechen Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Crimea, and the eastern regions of Ukraine.

"In the drawings submitted to the competition, young artists expressed their attitude to the war and terrorist acts. We tried to call on the public to resolve peacefully the conflicts and preserve peace throughout the world," said the Chairman of the regional branch of the RMHS, Sergei Kovalev.

The winners were 75 children, whose drawings were sent to the Astronaut Training Center of Star City. There were selected 16 works from all of them, which later were taken by the crew of the International Space Station and flew around the Earth.

"We will continue this project, it is really important, both for the children who took part in it and for adults who become better and kinder, in contact with a pure child's view of the world," said the initiator of the project, the RMHS activist from Arkhangelsk Vladislav Zhgilev.

In Syria will be organized an international exhibition of children's works "Children Drawing the World". In addition, among the Syrian schoolchildren will hold a football tournament "Consent." Within the framework of this event, participants will be given football attributes.
